JAROSLAW PERSZKO
Born in 1962 in Hajnówka, Poland.
Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, graduating in 1989 from the sculpture studio of Prof. Hanna Bruszkiewicz with an honors degree. In 1989–1990 he was a teaching assistant to Prof. Adolf Ryszka at the Department of Sculpture of the same faculty. Since 1997 he has been a member of the academic staff of the Faculty of Architecture at the Białystok University of Technology. Between 2007 and 2017 he was head of the Department of Interior Design there. Since 2016 he has been vice-rector for students’ affairs at Białystok University of Technology. Currently employed in the position of associate professor, he teaches sculpture, modeling and the creation of architectural space to students of Interior Design. The initiator and co-founder of the International Association ARTISTS IN NATURE (2000–2011). A resident of the international symposium Alliages 2002, Champagnole, France. Culture animator, co-organizer and participant of creative workshops, e.g. Laboratory of Creative Education, Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw.
His activities include sculpture, installations, performance, as well as scenography design for films, drama theatre, and puppet theatre.
